Enhancing teamwork

Enhancing teamwork enables people to work together as a team and achieve the targets of the work unit. Trainees learn and develop behaviours that are necessary to produce accurate results on time. Enhancing teamwork is aimed at all levels of staff.

This course can be tailored for different types of teams and to meet different needs within the organisation.

Topics covered in the course

  • What characterises an effective team? When are teams important?
  • How do teams set goals? Which goals are important?
  • What are the different roles of team members?
  • How do different personality types approach teamwork?

Expected outcomes

Participants will be able to:

  • learn how to set goals and priorities in a team environment, and plan their execution
  • understand the different roles personalities play within a team
  • maximise each team member's potential within the team
  • communicate clearly as a member of the team

Program delivery

This course can be delivered over one or two days. Trainees become competent by working through a graded series of exercises.

All trainees receive course material including a purpose-written manual, which includes guides, tips, resources and information.
